The Blueline Difference
We build better. Period. If you want a better home then you have to start with more and better choices. Some of the choices we offer are:
Insulated Concrete Forms
Insulated Concrete Forms or ICFs have been around for decades. Still the number of homes utilizing ICF's in our area is few and far between. Blueline offers our customers the choice for the use of ARXX not only for the foundation but also for the entire structure.
Why do we use ICF's?
Savings - With an effective rating of R-50 you can save up to 50% on your heating and cooling bills. You can save up to 22% on your homeowners insurance due to the high fire ratings.
Stronger - Engineered to withstand 200 mph winds.
Safer - Along with the strength to withstand hurricane force winds, ARXX gives you 2-5 hour fire rating and contains no CFC's, HCFC's, or Formeldehyde.
Silence - With an impressive Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of 50, ICF's reduce outside noise to a whisper. That is a 30% increase compared to standard wood stud wall values.
Radiant Heat

Radiant heating systems involve supplying heat directly to the floor or to panels in the wall or ceiling of a house. The systems depend largely on radiant heat transfer: the delivery of heat directly from the hot surface to the people and objects in the room via the radiation of heat, which is also called infrared radiation. Radiant heating has a number of advantages:
- It is more efficient than baseboard heating and usually more efficient than forced-air heating because no energy is lost through ducts.
- The lack of moving air can also be advantageous to people with severe allergies.
- Hydronic (liquid-based) systems use little electricity, a benefit for homes off the power grid or in areas with high electricity prices.
- The hydronic systems can also be heated with a wide variety of energy sources, including standard gas- or oil-fired boilers, wood-fired boilers, solar water heaters, or some combination of these heat sources

Low E Glass Windows
Low-emissivity coatings are microscopically thin, virtually invisible, metal or metallic oxide layers deposited on a window or skylight glazing surface primarily to reduce the UV factor by suppressing radiative heat flow. The principal mechanism of heat transfer in multilayer glazing is thermal radiation from warm surfaces to cooler surfaces. Coating a glass surface with a low-emittance material reflects a significant amount of this radiant heat, thus lowering the total heat flow through the window. Low-E coatings are transparent to visible light and opaque to infrared radiation. Different types of Low-E coatings have been designed to allow for high solar gain, moderate solar gain, or low solar gain.
Cement Finishes
Cement fiberboard (also referred to as fiber cement and cement board) is an environmentally friendly, engineered product that makes for a great siding for your home. One of the main selling points is that does not carry the un-sustainable qualities of vinyl or regular wood.
Fiber cement is a viable siding product. Whereas vinyl, wood, and aluminum may grasp more in terms of market share of exterior sidings, cement board is increasing in popularity as the fastest growing siding product in the United States.
Cement board offers a long life, is recyclable at the end of its useful life, and installs like wood siding making it easier for those experienced with traditional installation. It is a durable material that resists cracking, denting and normal deterioration It also holds paint well, and helps lower indoor noise levels – all benefits above those of its traditional siding counterparts. Fiber cement also offers very long warranties – usually 50 years to lifetime – and boasts zero firespread. It is also resource efficient utilizing scrap and waste materials in its manufacture. The composition is mostly concrete – and it is possible to find products that replace up to 25% of the portland cement binder with fly ash, a waste by-product of the coal industry.
